Fall Semester
Tower of Babel
At the beginning of the semester I was at the 1000 mark, I am now at 1800.
Good and Clean 2.0
Early this semester I attempted another cleaning intervention. One of the sculpture studio sinks was slated for replacement so I took the opportunity to scrape away half of the accumulated studio residue and document the transformation.
Eat Me
This semester I have spent the majority of my time developing an exhibition framework for my thesis show. I plan to construct an 8x8 foot cube which serves the dual functions of displaying the work and transporting or storing it, as the walls break down to form crates.
I have been examining the various features and connotations of my design to strengthen and refine my original concept. I have also been working out the physical layout and construction plans. At this point I have sketches, a gingerbread concept model, a section of wall/crate sample, and a possible layout for the full-scale construction.

MUSE
Frustrated with a lack of real production in my studio, I decided to search for inspiration to kick-start the creative process. I developed a series of possible campaigns to be carried out in sequence with the goal of manifesting my wish for a muse, and bringing my art practice into a broader conversation. At this point the Leaf Campaign is underway, with 1000 Paper Planes in production. There is also an online component, where muse candidates can initiate contact.
Leaf Campaign
The oak leaves are all completed and ready for distribution. I have begun to drop them in various locations as I move about the city.
1000 Paper Planes
So far I have folded about 600 aluminum planes, and have inscribed 80 of them with my call for inspiration. Each plane is numbered.
BOOT activity
The Boot continued into this semester with a range of events. While it no longer directly informs my practice, the forum for discussion and community created continues to serve as a support for creative engagement.

Bonus: Halloween costume
My Halloween costume is always handmade and frequently has conceptual investment as well.
This year I made a custom skeleton, attempting to trace my scoliosis and translate it into a visual documentation of my imperfect inner structure.
